The Bank is a ‘not-for-profit’ community hub providing opportunities for
Learning & Skills Development, Employment & Occupation, Addressing Loneliness & Rural Isolation and supporting the Visitor Economy in East Anglia.
We offer an eclectic programme of projects, courses, classes, workshops, events, performances, and exhibitions, our aim is to promote well-being through ‘innovation in a compassionate community’.
Our coffee house/bar is friendly and welcoming spaces usually open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Great food & drinks with a vegan menu available.
Walkers, Dog owners and Cyclists welcome!
Drop in even if you see a class in progress! We have three other spaces available for use by groups and individuals. Just ask!

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIESWe offer a variety of projects, classes and workshops run by professional tutors for all ages and abilities which are low or no-cost.
Our weekly programme normally includes: Workers Educational Association [WEA] events and courses, Life Drawing classes, Drop-in Art Group, Drop-in Knit & Natter, ‘Singing for Joy,’ Pottery & Sculpture, Printmaking and Spanish classes, Drop-in Kids Art and Craft. Drop in for Lone Workers. A monthly Bereavement group. In partnership with St Peter & St Paul primary school we are setting up a Lego League for our 6-10 year olds to enhance learning in core curriculum/STEM subjects and teamwork. Other schools and teams will be invited to build on this initiative. |
EMPLOYMENT & OCCUPATIONWe provide training and employment for part-time staff and occupation in internships and volunteering.
We’re running a project “My Skills Bank” for long-term unemployed to develop their technical & team-working skills plus coaching in job seeking, this is in partnership with our local Job Centre and delivered by paid members of our community. There is a weekly drop-in for ‘Co-working’ and ‘Lone Workers’ in partnership with MyWorkHive We provide employment opportunities for local artists and musicians to give lessons. Our shop sells craft, artwork and cards to promote and support local artists. |
FEELING LONELY?Drop in and join us for a cuppa, you can join any of our activities or start one yourself, let us know!
Our Knit & Natter group is particularly popular and in certain cases we can provide transport to bring you into Eye and take you home. |
