​Luke Underwood is a Norfolk-based painter whose practice explores vibrant, geometric and architectural landscapes. He is a recent graduate from Norwich University of the Arts.

​This collection of paintings were created in an intuitive and sporadic manner, focusing on the rhythmic language of colour and shape within an abstract space. Navigation of the rigid labyrinthian nature of architectural environments, intertwined with a technologically dominated reality is the inspiration behind these paintings. The majority of these works have undergone multiple iterations in which the surface was repainted fully, transforming the canvas into a landscape of its own. There is not a definitive interpretation of these works as each one was created as a response to certain emotions and moments in time, more from a spiritual understanding compared to a physical relation to reality.
