3D SCANNING FOR BEGINNERS - ADULTS / 18+ - SATURDAY 30 MAY 2026
From Reality to 3D — Smart Phone Object Scanning for Beginners
Discover how to turn real‑world objects into 3D models using nothing more than your smartphone. In this hands‑on beginner workshop, you’ll learn what 3D scanning is, what it can be used for.
We’ll explore the best current free scanning apps for iPhone and Android, You’ll learn how to capture great scans with simple techniques for lighting, movement and object choice.
You’ll discover how to clean, repair, and prepare them for 3D printing, including exporting models, making them watertight, and slicing them for print.
By the end of the session, you’ll have the skills and confidence to scan objects independently and turn them into printable 3D models.
