PORTRAIT OF US - OPEN CALL Since re-launching our exhibitions programme last year, we are amazed by the generous support, understanding and encouragement from our incredible community of residents and artists. Each and every act of support helps make The Bank the special creative hub it is today - to recognise our vibrant community, we are curating an exhibition of self-portraits. Now accepting submissions. Find out how to submit artwork here |
1 MAY - 8 JUNE 2024
LINES ON A SURFACE The standard definition of drawing is to create a picture made by means of lines on a surface. It seems so simple, but drawing has the ability to express and create wonder. This exhibition presents the work of local artists who use methods of drawing to explore and represent the world. Now accepting submissions. Find out how to submit artwork here |

ABOUT OUR EXHIBITIONS PROGRAMME
We are excited to announce from May 2023 The Bank Arts Centre (Eyes Open CIC) has been awarded funding from Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils to restructure our exhibitions programme for a trial 6-month period. This project will feature a programme of 6 curated exhibitions within a not-for-profit gallery model to provide inclusive and accessible opportunities for East-Anglian based artists and creatives.
This programme will - provide a platform for young and emerging artists; provide opportunities to support career pathways into the creative arts; provide work-experience and volunteering placements for individuals to improve skills, knowledge, and wellbeing through participation; make the arts more accessible and increase community engagement.
The Bank Arts Centre is an identified asset to BMSDC Culture, Heritage, and Visitor Economy Strategy 2023 – 2028 and we have ambitious aims to create a thriving cultural hub for our community to socialise, create, and connect.
