Collection of contemporary and expanded drawing practices
The standard definition of drawing is to create a picture made by means of lines on a surface, especially by using a pen or pencil. As one of the earliest forms of creativity, the act of mark marking to generate an image continues to be a process of discovery and beauty. In recent decades, the practice of drawing has polarised and expanded beyond the traditional definitions and we now understand the practice to be defined through the action of mark making in any medium. Lines on a surface seems so simple, but drawing has the ability to express and create wonder. This exhibition presents the work of local artists who use methods of drawing to explore and represent the world. Private View - Friday 3rd May 2024. 6-8pm Artists:
